Lauren was born and raised just outside Philly, in Wallingford, PA. She grew up in a musical household, picking up any instrument she could get her hands on. As an actor/musician, she has played a range of instruments on stage, such as saw, flute, and violin.

Lauren received her BFA in Acting from Boston University, and has a certificate in classical acting from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Lauren has performed on stages all over the US, and even in Ankara, Turkey, where she lived for two years. She loves traveling and learning about new cultures, and has worked a range of jobs from teaching yoga, singing with cover-bands, to teaching ESL and music. A passionate advocate of using theater to educate and build empathy in young people, Lauren founded her own theater-ed program, Breaking Barriers.

You can now find Lauren in NYC, where she is continuing her role as The Fiddler from Joel Grey's sold-out run of Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish downtown at NYTF, now running uptown Off-Broadway at Stage 42! Get your tickets at and check out News for career updates!
